28%
of top managers at large and medium-sized Russian industrial companies expect their companies’ production to grow by late spring 2016. This is one of the best forecasts in the last two years.
At the same time, one in ten companies reported possible cuts in production in the next 3 or 4 months. The rest of the top managers (about 60%) believe that there will be no considerable changes in production levels in the near future.
These data were published in a new Monitoring of Business Climate in the Russian Industry from January 2016, which was prepared by the Centre for Business Tendency Studies at the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge. The monitoring study used surveys of 3,000 heads of large and medium-sized enterprises in various economic sectors (conducted monthly by the Federal State Statistics Service).
